Music Video Moving Along

Here is a new post for the ProDUCKtion blog.  The post shows you the different layers that it takes to composite the animation into the live action.  It's looking real slick.

The site is up!!!

I have the www.slipperyrocknyc.com up and running.  Check out the animation tutorials.  The tutorials start to walk you through how to set up a character in After Effects.  A lot of these  processes can be used in other After Effect animations not only character animations.  I will be adding at least one tutorial per month.  Please email me with any comments or any other After Effects needs that you might need.

www.Slipperyrocknyc.com It's a coming!

It's a coming!  My vision for this site is to show what we in NYC animation can do.  And I also want to build this up to be a freelance studio.  Kind of like a hub for gigs and farm it out to talented people in NYC.  I will be starting character animation tutorials using After Effects and Flash on there.  There are some great motion graphic and effect tutorials out there already like videocopilot.net.  So I think people would really benefit from the character animation ones.  Please email me if you want a specific aspect of After Effects or character animation that you would like to learn more about.  robert@slipperyrocknyc.com

Music Video In Production

Hey out there!  The One Stuck Duck crew is making a music video.  This past month we have been working on an animatic as well as the 2 character rigs.  Last weekend the guys nearly finished the live action cockpit.  The music video is about 2 Robots fighting in the city (there is a bit more to the story but I don't want to give it away quite yet).  It will be 3D After Effects character rigs mixed with live action backgrounds as well as live action singers in cockpits driving the robots.  The song was done by my brother Josh and his friend Eric.  The song is titled TEST from their first album "A Bellow Below".  The music and video concept really work well together.  This project will be a bit more work then the last two videos.  There are a lot more shots as well as effects and other compositing challenges.  Please keep checking this blog for more production information.

Blondies, Cats and Beers

The screening of our latest short film Storming the Castle went really well.  People laughed at all the right parts.  Everyone did such a great job.  It looked great and sounded amazing.

QUOTE "Congrats! I thoroughly enjoyed the flick and laughed out loud throughout. It was clever, funny and fun. You are very impressive when you pull together and use your powers for good instead of evil :) Keep it up! Sarah"

Thanks to all for coming out.

"Cat Short" is almost done!!!
